Home Customization Procedures
Building a new home can be an overwhelming process because of the amount of the decisions that must be made in a relatively short period of time. Remington Homes asks that you take the process seriously and enter the process when you are able to commit time to making the numerous necessary decisions. Remington Homes would also like you to keep the following in mind:
- Only you know your tastes and needs in your new home. Unfortunately, we are unable to present you with every possible idea or change that can be incorporated. Almost any type of change is possible, but it is solely your responsibility to inform us of the changes you wish to make. We will inform you of any request that is not possible; therefore, it is always better to ask than assume that a change cannot be incorporated. We are only able to a build a home with the changes that you have informed us that you want and that you have approved.
- If you are unaware of the items that are standard in your home or do not understand the plans and specifications, please ask your Community Manager. If you do not ask questions, it will be assumed that you understand.
- Once you finalize each phase, a personalized list of changes you wish to make is emailed to Yourself, the Custom Change Manager and to the Community Manager. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required in order to process your Custom Change Requests and must be submitted to your Community Manager. Upon receipt of the deposit, your requests will be priced for your review and acceptance at contract signing. If questions arise or more information is needed regarding any of your Custom Change requests, the Community Sales Manager will contact you via phone or e-mail to clarify.
- All changes to your new home must be in writing. You may discuss a particular change with your Community Manager several times. However, if you have not approved a change in writing, the change will not be incorporated into your new home. You are responsible for ensuring that all items you would like in your home are written up on change orders. We strongly recommend that you review all of your change orders as soon as possible after signing them, not weeks or months later, only to discover that something you wanted in your home has not been included. Again, only you know everything that you want in your new home; the only way we will know what you want in your new home is by the written changes that you have signed and approved.
Remington Homes looks forward to building your new home and will assist you in that process to the greatest extent possible. Our priority is to allow all of our homeowners to build a home that they are truly pleased with and that is unique to them.
